E-book cover for 'The Scream Of Angels' 2013
Another thrilling horror from David Haynes, this time set in Montmartre, Paris in 1901. The Belle epoque is in full swing and a struggling writer, Robert Bishop, who is tortured by dark and sinister dreams, finds work at the Grand Guignol Theatre. Famous for grisly productions, which left it's audiences screaming, the theatre becomes the setting for a true and terrifying mystery.
For this cover I drew inspiration from the poster work of Tolouse Lautrec, particularly his Moulin Rouge posters. I chose this style because it fitted with the time and location. The book is set in a theatre, so it made sense to create a theatrical poster as the cover.
